Pastry Adds Girls Line


Vanessa and Angela Simmons, the creators of the Pastry shoe line, will launch “Pastry Pop Stars”, a children’s footwear line in February. After major success with the current girl’s collection, the Simmons sisters have decided to launch a full line which offers infant and children sizes.The line will glitter with everything from sneakers to sandals. Pastry designer Louise Bramstedt says,”[This Customer] likes to have fun. She’s a dress-up girl sneaking into mom’s close.”
The kids line will be complete with the launch of a new website in February which will include webisodes. The monthly webisodes will feature “Pastry Pop Stars” characters Cashmere the fashionista and Melody the pop rocker. Commercials for the line are set to air on Nickelodeon and Disney Channel.”Pastry Pop Stars” will retail between $25 and $35 at athletic stores, shoe chains, and department stores.
